If you're just starting your indoor grow operation and don't want to shell out a ton of money, consider getting this LED grow light. It is a full spectrum light designed for small-scale indoor gardening. Its 12-band spectrum includes infrared and triggers maximum photosynthetic reaction in plants.

When raised 18 inches above plants, it provides a PAR of 680 μmols. The light beams it produces are similar to those produced by a 650-720W HID or HPS light. It is also very efficient at using energy as it only needs 190 watts to discharge 480 watts.
