Because LED diodes never run at full capacity, the output wattage advertised by the manufacturer can vary from the true output wattage by between 50%-75%. The true output wattage is one of the important things we look at when evaluating LED grow lights. Other things we look at are the durability, the spectrum, the cost, and the yield. After examining all the 1200W grow lights on this list, we decided to choose the BESTVA Reflector Series 1200W Grow Light as the best of the lot. It produces 258 watts per hour, which is a really good power output for its price. It may not have the best coverage of all the grow lights here (the Advanced Platinum P1200 light does), but the watts it produces is enough for the coverage it offers (3.8ft x 4.3ft at 40 inches).
